The Show

Pirates; Treasure; A Love Story and a Dame all come together for yet another rollicking tale from the Basel English Panto Group. Yes, Christmas is coming again and we are well in to rehearsals for this years show.

Jim and his Mum ( The Dame) run a pub called the Admiral Benbow. As usual the Dame is short of money and is always complaining about the Squire who is her Landlord. Why – because he keeps putting the rent up. He also has a beautiful daughter (Charlotte) who is in love with Jim, much against her Father’s wishes. Enter the pirates with Long John Silver who is looking for a map which shows the way to the treasure on Treasure Island. They all set sail to look for the treasure and join up with Ben Gunn and Mrs.Silver who surprises Long John with a set of twins! ( He only went out to buy some milk 12 years earlier).

As we said, a good rollicking tale with lots of songs, fun, jokes for young and old. Come along and join us and also join in.
